It is the funeral director who answers the call of duty in the darkest moment of a family’s life and steps up ready to guide a family through the emotional roller coaster of saying good-bye to a loved one, all performed in a few short days. Few other professions work under these challenges.
We believe that our family owned and operated funeral service is very sensitive to individual needs. Our funeral directors are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist families with their funeral arrangements.
Our family owned business has a vested interest in serving the community where we live and work. We believe in families and neighbors serving neighbors. From that belief came our motto… “OUR FAMILY – SERVING YOURS”
We never realize how important family is until we face a crisis. Difficult events like the death of a loved one or a serious illness have a way of drawing people together to share memories, to mourn and to offer each other strength.
At Dunn Funeral Home and Peinert-Dunn Funeral Homes we give you value, choices and options. We offer a complete line of metal and wood caskets starting from $995.00. A variety of colors and styles are available which include patriotic and religious themes as well as others related to hobbies such as golf, gardening and automobile interests. We also offer cremation caskets and a complete line of urns in bronze, copper, wood, marble and ceramic with artwork inspired by the “Ming Dynasty”. Just like our caskets, many can be personalized and have, “keepsakes,” available as well.
We have memory boards for displaying pictures of the deceased, family, certificates and other personal items your loved one valued. We can videotape the service and make available a remembrance video of your loved one, which families have told us is priceless. We also have an extensive library of books and pamphlets available to help the bereaved. We also have a list of bereavement programs held periodically within our community. We offer sincere, compassionate and personal service with the care and dignity your loved one deserves. We understand that each family’s needs and preferences vary. We are here to listen and help you through what is a most difficult time in your life, with patience and understanding. Through our tireless dedication to the families we serve, we strive to provide personal service a degree better than our competitors.Learn More
“Grief is the feeling of reaching out for someone who’s always been there, only to discover when I need her [or him] one more time, she’s no longer there.”
When someone you care about dies, it is one of life’s most painful events….perhaps even the MOST painful event you might experience. Our reaction to death is many faceted and extremely difficult to discuss. In many circumstances, those engulfed in grief are left alone to cope with their pain...especially after the initial couple of weeks have passed.Learn More
During the funeral service, common sense and empathy for those grieving are expected in today’s society. When someone you care about is struck with a death in their family, your natural instinct is to lend your heart and hand in any way. We have put together a guide to help display caring and appropriate behavior, giving you the confidence in knowing your gestures are well received and in good form.Learn More
The next steps are often difficult to plan. Who to call, where to start with memorial invitations, where to hold the reception.. We know there is a lot to do and we are available for all your needs. To help with the next steps of the planning process, our funeral care professionals have created a checklist to help guide you along the way.Learn More
