Obituary for Ashlea Marie Harter

Ashlea Marie Harter, 37, of Swanton, OH, passed away June 1, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born July 20, 1980 in Red Bay, AL to Kenneth J. and Gloria (Perdue) Terveen. Ashlea was a 1998 graduate of Northern Leigh Senior High School in PA and graduated from Kutztown University in PA in 2002. She later received her Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University and worked for many years as a special education teacher.

Ashlea was a member of Community of Christ Lutheran Church in Whitehouse, OH. She loved doing arts and crafts with her children and traveling to West Virginia. Ashlea enjoyed music. She sang, played the piano and guitar.

She married Steve Harter June 9, 2007. He survives along with children, Delilah Jean and Steven Thomas Jr., parents, Ken and Gloria Terveen, brother, Aaryn Terveen and several aunt, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a special cousin, Ralph Kirk Jr.

Friends and family are invited to a funeral service Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Rd., Whitehouse, OH. The family will receive guests at 12 noon until the time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Homes, Whitehouse, OH.
