Obituary for Betty Mae Lewis

Betty Mae Lewis, 96, of Whitehouse, OH, passed away June 3, 2018 at Blue Creek Healthcare in Whitehouse, OH. She was born May 21, 1922 in Neapolis, OH to Grover & Addie (Ross) Foor.
Betty was a member of Neapolis Church of Christ, a life member of Whitehouse American Legion Auxiliary Post #384. In her younger years she held unit positions as well as district positions. She worked at the Lucas County Fair offices for many years and was an Election Board volunteer.
On June 1, 1941 she married her high school sweetheart, Ted Lewis, and they spent the next 73 years in marriage. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2015. Betty is survived by her children, Constance Baker, Christopher (Sandy Bucher) Lewis, Pamela (Paul) Ladrow, and Patrice (Dean) Hill, grandchildren, Paul (Alta) Baker and Amanda (Shane Perry) Fairchild, great grandchildren, Jason Baker, Morgan Fairchild, Joshua Baker, Justin Baker and Jessica Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Michael Lewis, grandson, Chad Simon, son-in-law, Gerald Baker, and siblings, Mildred Emahiser, Garnet Thomas, Leona Bolley and Grover Foor.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service Monday, June 11, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Homes, Whitehouse, OH. Memorial contributions can be given to the Whitehouse American Legion Auxiliary Post #384, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Neapolis Church of Christ.
