Obituary for Carl J. Johnson

Carl Johnson, 80, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Thursday April 12, 2018. He was born August 8, 1937 in Bowling Green to Aubrey and Margaret (JoHann) Johnson. He married Reva J. Hook February 16, 1957 and she survives in Bowling Green.

Carl was a member of F.O.P. and St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. He was the co-owner of the tree farm, Rick and Carl’s Trees. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Along with his wife of 61 years Reva, he is survived by his sons Roderick Johnson of Bowling Green and Anthony Johnson of Bowling Green, daughters Joni Huls of Bowling Green, Carla Hartman of Bowling Green and Daphne Milligan of Bowling Green, brother Norman Johnson of San Diego, California, sisters Marilyn Slatton of Bowling Green, Doris Mathias of Maumee, Ohio and Margaret Kimbell of Bowling Green, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael Johnson and sister Janice Kiene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Father Mark Davis will officiate. A Rosary Service will begin Monday morning at 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green or the Alzheimer’s Association.
