Obituary for Linda Susan Snyder

Linda Susan Snyder, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 13, 1953 in Salem, Ohio to Kenneth and Rita (Edgerton) Schoeni. She married Jan Snyder on February 2, 1974 and he survives in Bowling Green.

Stranger to few, Linda was a friend to many and touched many lives in her lifetime. Her smile and energy were contagious and her generous, genuine and loving heart will be missed. There is nothing she loved more than her family. She was her children’s biggest cheerleader and supported them in all of their endeavors. The role she cherished most was being a Grandma, adoring her 10 grandchildren.

Linda was an avid BGSU and BGHS Athletics fan. Even after her children were no longer playing sports, she continued to support all athletics in Bowling Green. She enjoyed camping and vacationing with her family and absolutely loved a good day of shopping. She worked as an administrative assistant at BGSU for over 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority when she was in college.

Along with her husband, Jan, of nearly 44 years, Linda is survived by her parents Ken and Rita Schoeni of Bowling Green, Ohio; children Nick (Bridget) Snyder of Bowling Green, Ohio, Courtney (Ryan) Binns of Hilliard, Ohio and Adam (Margaret) Snyder of Hudson, Ohio; grandchildren Carter, Nina, Braydon, Jackson, Owen, Kenley, Bodie, Grady, Natalie and Zeke; sisters Gayle (Craig) Rutter of Defiance, Ohio and Sharon (Scott) Pahl of Bowling Green, Ohio; and brothers Roger (Kim) Schoeni of Fort Thomas, Kentucky and Bob (Gretchen) Schoeni of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
