Stephen Craig Dunn
Stephen C. Dunn graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1964. He attended Bowling Green State University from 1966 to 1970 and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1971, where he was one of two members of the class to receive “special recognition” for interest and ability in embalming.

He is past-president of District 7 of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. He was a past board member Wood County Cancer Society, the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and the Bowling Green Country Club. He is a member or past member of the National and Ohio Funeral Director’s Associations, the Ohio Embalmer’s Association, Elk’s Lodge #818, the Falcon Club, Bobcat Boosters, BG Blueliners, and was included in “Outstanding Young Men in America” in 1978 and 1983.

Steve has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 38 years. Steve and his wife, Becky live next door to the funeral home in an 1880’s brick, “Coach House,” which was converted into a home in the 1940’s. They have one son, Stephen Shane and a grandson, Garrett Stephen who they enjoy watching play hockey and little league baseball. When he has time, Steve enjoys his classic 1958 Chevrolet Impala and playing golf. He donated a kidney to his youngest brother Tom in 2002 who suffered from kidney disease.



Timothy R. Dunn
A lifelong resident of Bowling Green. Tim is a graduate of Bowling Green High School 1980, Bowling Green State University 1985 and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science 1986, in which he graduated cum laude. He has served as a funeral director for over 24 years, and is recognized by Who’s Who in America. He is a member of the N.F.D.A., the O.F.D.A. and past President of the District Seven Funeral Director’s Association.

Tim is a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and attends Dayspring Assembly of God Church Bowling Green. He is also a member of the Bowling Green Exchange Club, Falcon Club, Bobcat Booster Club, BG Blueliner’s Club, Elk’s Lodge #818, Eagles Club and BG Backcourt Booster. He is a former member of the Bowling Green Optimist Club and Country Club. He is a past Board Member of the Bowling Green Community Foundation (2003-2008) and past Chairman of the Annual Grants Committee, Bowling Green Parks & Recreation, BGSU Falcon Club Advisory Board. Tim is one of three members credited with starting the “Coaches Corner” for Bowling Green State University in support of BGSU Football. While attending BGSU he coached basketball for the 7th grade and freshman teams at Bowling Green junior high school.

For over 34 years he has volunteered for the Bowling Green Youth Baseball Association, holding offices as Pee Wee League Commissioner, Grounds Supervisor and fundraising chairman. In 1982 he came President of the league, a title he still maintains today even though his children are no longer participating. From 1985 to 1989 he worked with the City of Bowling Green and the Mayor’s office in developing, fundraising and constructing a new 5 diamond baseball facility at Bowling Green Carter Park which opened in the spring of 1990. He received the “I Love Bowling Green” award in 1990 from the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and the “Doyt L. Perry” award in 1996 from Bowling Green State University for outstanding contributions to the Falcon Football program.

Tim at a young age, grew up working at the Dunn Funeral Home for his father (Donald), brother (Stephen) and uncle (Marvin), mowing the lawn, painting, washing cars and other numerous tasks around the funeral home. He became a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer in 1986, owner and vice-president in 1987. He received his Life/Health Insurance license in 1987, which qualifies him to make pre-arranged funeral contracts with the families he serves. Both Tim and his brother, Steve before him, donated a kidney to their youngest brother, Tom.

In his spare time he enjoys attending Falcon football, basketball and baseball games. His real joy comes from watching his daughters, Brittany play volleyball for Oakland University, Ashley play volleyball for BGSU, son, Tyler play basketball & baseball for BGHS and daughter, Mackenzie play volleyball & basketball for local club teams. He loves vacationing in Phoenix, Arizona.



Marvin W. Dunn graduated from Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green University. He is a licensed funeral director and also a licensed real estate agent for Newlove Realty. He has been active in Bowling Green High School hockey for many years, serving as faculty advisor. He is a member of the Elk’s Club, the retired Teachers Association, B.G. Country Club, Trinity U.M. Church, the Wood County and Toledo board of Realtors.


Gary O. Hartzler is a native of Urbana and has been in the Bowling Green area since 1981. He obtained his Ohio Insurance license in 2001 and is the Dunn Funeral Home’s Family Service Counselor. He is available to families who wish to make funeral arrangements in advance and also oversees the “aftercare” program. Gary previously worked for the former Uhlman’s Department store chain as a buyer and was a former manager of Hawk’s Department store in Bryan, Ohio. He is a member of the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club, the Falcon Club and Bowling Green Country Club.
