Obituary for Amy L. MacRitchie

Amy Louise MacRitchie, 61, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born September 29, 1957 in Bowling Green to the late Stanley and Dolores (Smith) Reynolds.

Amy was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her three sons and their many friends. Her strength and courage defined her and her smile brightened everyone's lives.

As a 1975 graduate of Bowling Green High School she was a member of the orchestra, marching band, choir and Madrigals, and participated in many school musicals. After graduation she was a member of the Yuletide Singers. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Music from BGSU in 1981. At BGSU she was in concert band and an Alpha Chi Omega sister. Throughout her career she worked at Mid Am Bank, Guardian First Mortgage, DeWalt & Gallup, and most recently as a juvenile legal assistant at the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. As a talented flutist she enjoyed playing at church where she also sang in the choir. She was a volunteer for the Wood County Historical Society and loved traveling to visit family and friends. Her greatest joy in life came from the time spent with her three sons and nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her twin sons Ryan MacRitchie (Maggie Green) of Bowling Green, Ohio and Colin (Adele) MacRitchie of Pearland, Texas; son Keenan MacRitchie of Bowling Green, Ohio; her siblings Marcia Kennedy (Randy Knight) of Bedford, Texas; Kerry (Roxanne) Reynolds of Houston, Texas; and Patty Reynolds of Bluffton, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and longtime dear friend Roz Oster O’Rourke.
