Frank L. Visi passed away June 27, 2019 with family by his side at the age of 71.

Frank is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Marilyn and his children;
Matthew (Kara) Visi of Kearney, MO, Jennifer (Jason) Lute of Minford, OH and Becky (Steve) Nelson of Swanton, OH. Step Children Brooke Hummel of Erie, MI and Todd Hummel of San Antonio, TX. Frank had 12 grandchildren that he adored; Tristan, Lane, Ryan, Steve, Haley, Frankie, Doug, Harley, Addison, C.J., Reid and Ross. Also survived by sister, Peggy (Visi) Rose of Fowlerville, MI and many cousins and nieces. Frank also had an amazing network of friends that he held very dear to his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Pearl (Farkas) Visi of Point Place, OH and his sister Judy Shumaker of Toledo, OH.

Frank was born on September 4, 1947 in Toledo, OH to Frank and Pearl (Farkas) Visi. He graduated from Woodward High School. He continued his education at The University of Toledo and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Frank lived most of his life in Toledo while working at AP Parts and eventually retiring from Dura Convertibles in Adrian, MI. After retiring Frank and Marilyn moved to their dream home surrounded by Oak Opening Park beneath the pine trees (aka Naughty Pines) in Whitehouse, Ohio. Frank spent his retirement years working for the Toledo Metro Parks – Farnsworth Location. He was a mentor and friend to all with whom he worked.

While working at Farnsworth, Frank rediscovered his love of photography and captured the most beautiful photos of the park. Frank was a gifted photographer. He had an amazing eye for capturing the beauty of nature and all living things making it into something truly spectacular. Along with his love of photography, Frank loved the outdoors, fishing, his dog (Sir Benson), The Ohio State Buckeyes, and cooking. Frank never passed up an opportunity to visit with loved ones on his deck, grill and enjoy a “cold one”. He always put his family first in everything. Frank possessed a gentle engaging smile and his twinkling eyes were the hallmark of his kind
face. If there is a man on this planet who has a gold star in heaven, it is Frankie.

A Celebration of Frank’s Life is scheduled for August 4th, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. at Oak Openings Lodge, all are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of this amazing man.

“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being
photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels
about life in its entirety.” – Ansel Adams
