Obituary for Charlene C. Buchanan,

Charlene C. Buchanan (Post) died peacefully at Filosa for Nursing and Rehab on November 24, 2017 in Danbury, Connecticut at the age of 83.
Char was born on November 20, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio. She married Archibald Buchanan on November 20, 1955. Char worked as a secretary for various companies throughout her life. While living in Bowling Green, Char worked as a legal secretary for Middleton, Roebke and Rayle. Charlene loved spending time with her family, camping and traveling, gardening, cooking and baking, music and the Sunday crossword puzzle.
Char is survived by her children Tim Buchanan/Lisa Brichta, Bowling Green, Ohio; Kim Sussman/Michael, Newtown, Connecticut; Shari Bignell/Guy, New Fairfield, Connecticut, her grandchildren Chad Buchanan, Brittnay Wise/Adam, Aleah and Mikaela Sussman, and one great-grandchild, Cooper Wise. She is preceded in death by her husband, Archibald Buchanan, her mother and father, Frances H. Post and A.D. Post, and a brother Robert K. Post.
A memorial service is scheduled for December 9 at 11:00 am at St. Mark’s Church, 315 South College Drive, Bowling Green, Ohio. Pastor Melanie Haack will officiate at the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www. The family also wishes to thank the staff of Filosa for their unwavering love and support.
